Youth Ministry for 7th – 12th Grades

Sunday mornings 9:30 – 10:45
Youth Ministry begins AUGUST 30, 2026
The youth group is intended for:
- Middle and high school youth
- Ministry, fellowship, fun and games
- Sacramental formation (Confirmation)
The youth group participates in:
- Local service projects
- Faith formation retreats in Lubbock
- Joining Diocesan wide Catholic Youth Workshops at Candles for Christ one Saturday a month (Dates: 9/26 BBQ, the following Saturdays are workshops 10/10, 11/14, 12/5, 1/16, 2/13, 3/13, 4/10, 5/8)
- Attending the Steubenville Lonestar in the summer
- Meeting the College age Discipleship Retreat Team (DYRT) at Raider Catholic
CONFIRMATION CANDIDATES
Confirmation candidates must attend Sunday morning group, and attend Mass weekly. Parents of youth interested in Sacrament of Confirmation formation must email a copy of the student’s Baptism document to Chris Longobardo.
ADULT CATHOLIC VOLUNTEERS
Adult Catholic volunteers are welcome in the youth group with Safe Environment certification. We can provide information for adults to be Safe Environment certified.
FAITH FORMATION and OCIA
Adult (High School graduates and beyond) Faith Formation is available Sundays at 12:30 PM for one hour, all year, for people interested in becoming Catholic. You can contact me for more information on OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults). Chris.Longobardo@stelubbock.org
