RED MASS & DINNER

The Red Mass and Dinner celebrates the official opening of the judicial year. 6:00 PM at the Bishop Plácido Rodríguez Hall, Christ the King Cathedral, 4011 54th Street in Lubbock. Mass attendance is not required for dinner. The seated dinner will be at 6:30 PM with Keynote Speaker Texas Supreme Court Justice Jeffrey Boyd and the Madison Sowder/St. Thomas More Justice in Action Award presented to professor Charles Bubany. $400 reserved table, $30 per person, $15 students. Dress is business attire with red accents for both men and women.

DISCOVER YOUR INHERITANCE AS A CHILD OF GOD IN EPHESIANS

This is an 8-part Bible study featuring Jeff Cavins. Sunday, September 22 - November 10 9:45 AM - 10:45 PM or Tuesday September, 24 - November 12 from 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM in the Conference Center. ALTAR SERVER TRAINING 2019

Altar server training schedule is as follows: First Altar Server Class 8:30 am — 11:00 am Saturday, October 12th in the church. Parents should attend this training class. Please bring completed registration forms if you have them. The second class will be 8:30 am — 11:00 am Saturday, October 19th in the church. Parents need not attend but are welcome. The remaining training classes will be held on Saturday, October 26th and November 2nd from 8:30 am — 11:00 am in the church. Altar server trainees must attend Saturday training classes. Immediately after the class we will have our ANNUAL PIZZA PARTY for all servers in Hanly Hall. Sunday, November 3rd at the 11:00am Mass we will recognize all the new Altar Server graduates.Registration forms are available in the narthex. ADULT CONFIRMATION CLASSES

If you have had the sacraments of Baptism and First Communion, but still lack the Sacrament of Confirmation there will be classes offered for Confirmation. The Classes will be taught by Kevin Mantooth on the following dates: Monday, September 30, 2019; Monday, October 7thand Monday, October 14th. The Classes will be at the John Saleh Catholic Student Center from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.. YOUTH MINISTRY REGISTRATION

Registration for the youth program for grades 7th - 12th will take place after each Mass in the narthex. The program begins Wednesday September 18th. Confirmation class is a one-year program. Edge is designed for grades 7 -8 and Life Teen is available for grades 9 - 12. For more information stop by the registration table or call the church office.

"A KNIGHT OF VOCATIONS"

The Knights of Columbus Councils in partnership with The Office for Vocations & Seminarian Education invite you to "A Knight of Vocations" fundraiser, dinner and raffel (casual attire). It will be Friday, September 20, 2019 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at 3800 Knights of Columbus Banquet Hall, 4702 130th Street in Lubbock. The cost is $30.00 per person and raffle tickets are $5.00 each. RCIA

Do you want to learn more about the Catholic faith? Do you want to be able to explain your catholic faith to others? Are you interested in becoming a member of the Catholic Church? Are you Catholic, but have not yet received one of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Eucharist, or Confirmation)? If you answered “yes” to any of the above, you may want to consider joining us for RCIA. It meets every Wednesday at 7:00 PM in Hanly Hall, for 2 hours, starting August 28, 2019 through April 29, 2020. The year culminates in the great celebration of the sacraments of initiation at the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday, April 11, 2020. For further information, call Deacon Jeff Church at 806-762-5225.

MASS ON TTU CAMPUS

EXPOSITION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT
AND CONFESSION

Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will be held Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM in the chapel following the 5:30 PM mass. Confessions will be availabe from 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM.

DINNER & ROSARY

The Knights of Columbus #12803 is hosting a Dinner & Rosary, Thursday, September 19th at 6:00 PM in Hanly Hall. Come enjoy a free meal. Following the 5:30 PM Mass, join the Knights in Hanly Hall to pray the Rosary, followed by a free meal. Everyone is invited to attend. If you have any questions, please contact a knight.

 

BAPTISM CLASS

Baptism Class will be held Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the church. Parents must be registered members of St. Elizabeth's Parish to attend the class. Attendance of both parents is required. Call Deacon McCann at (806) 762-5225 for more information. No baptism will be scheduled until all paperwork (copy of birth certificate, proof parents and sponsors have attended baptism class) is approved by the Pastor.

SENIOR LUNCH

We will get together for a covered dish lunch on Thursday, September 19th at noon in Hanly Hall. Everyone is welcome.

THE MELCHIZEDEK PROJECT

The Melchizedek Project is a gathering for men 18 and older who believe Christ may be calling them to the priesthood.The group meets this semester at 6:30 p.m. at the John Saleh Catholic Student Center, 2217 Main St., Lubbock on the following dates: September 8, October 3, November 7, and December 5. The gathering consists of prayer, discussion on the diocesan Catholic priesthood and dinner at a local restaurant. All men 18 and older are invited to join us.
