FAITH FORMATION

Our primary mission is to proclaim and teach the Good News of Jesus Christ as found in Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition of the Roman Catholic Church.

scriptureSt. Elizabeth Catholic University Parish believes our primary mission is to proclaim and teach the Good News of Jesus Christ as found in Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition of the Roman Catholic Church. We believe in enriching the faith life of all individuals within our community. The purpose of cathechesis is to make a person’s faith become living, conscious, and active through the light of instruction which is a life-long process.

It is our mission in religious education to support the growth of the child’s loving relationship with God and with the community of believers.  As your child grows in awareness of the larger world and grows in their capacity to wonder, religious education uses age appropriate methods to support the process of looking at daily experiences in the fullness of the Catholic faith tradition.  We are committed to support every child as they learn to know, love, and serve the Lord with a profound and growing awareness of their mission in building the kingdom of God and their belonging to the Body of Christ.

ST ELIZABETH OFFERS:

  • RCIA-Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is not just for people becoming Catholic, but is a program for those who are interested in learning about the Roman Catholic Church. You may join the program as a ‘pilgrim’ (a Catholic on a journey to a holy place) to review and renew your own faith. Get re-acquainted and more deeply acquainted with the doctrine, the Scriptures, the saints and deepen your spiritual life. We also welcome those from other faiths, other Christian denominations, those who were baptized Roman Catholic but did not receive First Communion and Confirmation and those who may have no religious training at all.
